Job Title: Marketing Assistant
Location: Colchester
Salary: from £21,000 (dependent on experience)
Job type: Full-time, Permanent
Schedule: Monday to Friday 9am – 5pm
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Contribute to the design and distribution of promotional marketing materials.
- Collaborate on the creation and execution of marketing strategies and campaigns.
- Assist in the optimization of campaigns and provide weekly reports.
- Coordinate and support store events and local marketing initiatives.
- Play a key role in digital marketing and promotional activities.
- Summarize and present marketing insights during Marketing Meetings.
- Monitor social media content, track trends, competitor feedback, and suggestions.
- Plan and execute timely posts, staying attuned to current trends.
- Engage with customers online and encourage cross-channel interaction.
- Take charge of blog content and website updates to enhance the brand's competitiveness.
- Assist the digital team in scheduling English and Chinese social media posts.
- Create digital content aligned with retail brand strategies and support the digital team.
- Collaborate closely with the retail marketing team to advance digitalization efforts.
- Contribute to the creation of customized promotional/marketing materials when necessary.
- Edit website content to ensure alignment with brand goals and current updates.
- Fulfill any additional responsibilities as directed by your supervisor.
Skills:
- Digital Marketing Knowledge: Understanding digital marketing channels such as social media, email marketing, SEO, and content marketing is essential.
- Analytical Skills: The ability to analyze data, metrics, and market trends to make informed marketing decisions and optimizations.

- Market Research: Conducting research on industry trends, competitors, and target audiences.
- Team Collaboration: Working well in a team environment and collaborating with colleagues in marketing and other departments.

Requirements:
• Academic: Bachelor's degree or higher in marketing, business, advertising, media or related field
• Language: Be proficient in English, and Mandarin. Japanese, and Korean would be a plus.
• Have a good understanding of Asian food culture and grocery
• Have strong time management, administrative and organizational skills, with a keen interest in customer needs and attention to detail
• Have a good sense of creativity and commercial awareness
• Working experience in FMCG, retail or marketing industry would be a plus
