How to Make Sakura Mochi Recipe with Peach Flavour

Craving a taste of spring? This easy peach mochi recipe takes inspiration from the classic Sakura mochi, offering a delightful twist with a sweet and fruity peach flavour. Made with just 4 ingredients and a non-stick pan, it's perfect for a quick and fun baking session!

Ingredients:

Instructions:

  1. Combine all the ingredients:  Start by mixing all the ingredients in a bowl until well combined.
  2. A touch of pink: Add a few drops of pink food colouring if you desire a pastel pink hue for your mochi.
  3. Cook and knead: Heat a non-stick pan over low heat. Scrape the dough into the pan and stir continuously with a spatula. As the mixture cooks, it will gradually come together into a cohesive mass. Continue stirring until all the moisture has been absorbed and the dough forms a ball.
  4. Chill and shape:  Transfer the cooked mochi mixture into a container and cover it with cling film. Place it in the refrigerator for at least an hour to allow it to set.
  5. Enjoy: Dust your work surface with a generous amount of flour. Take the chilled dough out of the refrigerator and cut it into small portions.

Tips:

  • Make sure your non-stick pan is truly non-stick to prevent burning.
  • Don't overcook the dough in the pan. Once it forms a ball and the moisture has disappeared, it's ready.
  • If the dough becomes sticky while handling, simply dust your hands and work surface with more flour.

Enjoy your homemade Sakura Mochi with Peach flavour! This delightful treat is sure to impress with its soft and chewy texture and delightful fruity taste. Perfect for enjoying on its own or sharing with friends and family.
