What is Okonomiyaki?
Okonomiyaki is a Japanese savory pancake dish consisting of wheat flour batter and other ingredients (mixed, or as toppings) cooked on a teppan. Common additions include cabbage, meat and seafood with toppings include okonomiyaki sauce, aonori (dried seaweed flakes), katsuobushi (bonito flakes), Japanese mayonnaise and pickled ginger.
Ingredients You’ll Need (1 servings)
- wheat flour 50g
- almond milk 75g
- kale（chopped） 50g
- mushroom（sliced） 30g
- Otafuku Okonomi Sauce 40g
How to make
Step 1: Mix the almond milk and wheat flour in a medium sized bowl
Step 2: Add kale and mushrooms to the bowl
Step 3: Heat frying pan on medium heat, add a small amount of oil
Step 4: Add the mixture to the pan, spread it in the pan in a circular shape
Step 5: Bake until golden brown on each side (it will take roughly five minutes each side)
Step 6: Once it is cooked, it is ready to plate up
Step 7: Add mayonnaise and katsuobushi. Enjoy!
