Savoury Sausage Sticky Rice Easy Recipe
Ingredients:
- 2 Poons Wind-Dried Pork Sausages
- 2 cups of Glutinous Rice
- 1 cup of Black Fungus
- 1 cup of Dried Shrimp
- A tablespoon of Dark Soy Sauce
- Shallot and Scallions
- 3 Shiitake mushrooms
- A tablespoon of Light soy sauce
- A tablespoon of Oyster sauce
- A tablespoon of Sesame oil
- A half tablespoon of Sugar
Steps:
- Allow 2 cups of glutinous rice to soak overnight to facilitate expansion and achieve a sticky, soft texture.
- Soak 1 cup of dried black fungus, 3 Shiitake mushrooms and 1 cup of dried shrimp until softened. Then, cut the ingredients into desired sizes, rinse, and set aside.
- Boil 2 Chinese sausages for 5 minutes, then finely slice them.
- Finely chop 1 shallot and 2 scallions.
- In a pan with vegetable oil, begin by frying the scallions and then add a handful of diced lean pork.
- Incorporate all the prepared ingredients into the pan, followed by 1 tablespoon each of light soy sauce, dark soy sauce, oyster sauce, sesame oil, sugar, and water. Stir and mix for 3 minutes.
- Transfer the mixture to a steamer and steam for 30 minutes until it reaches a sticky, soft consistency.
- After cooking, enhance the flavour by adding additional dark sauce if desired.
